Regular servicing is essential to keep your outboard engine in top condition, extending its life and ensuring reliable performance on the water. At Boatworld, we specialise in expert servicing for leading outboard motor brands, including Orca, Honda, Hidea, Yamaha, Tohatsu, and Suzuki. We offer tailored services for each engine type, from initial break-in services to comprehensive annual maintenance. Additionally, our team is equipped to handle general maintenance and repairs, ensuring your engine remains in excellent working order throughout the year.

To make servicing as convenient as possible, we offer flexible options to suit your needs. You can drop off and collect your engine at our facility, or we can arrange a door-to-door courier collection and delivery service, saving you time and effort. We’re here to ensure your engine is fully serviced, thoroughly inspected, and ready to deliver peak performance so you can enjoy a hassle-free experience on the water all season.

Engine Servicing Terms & Conditions

Payment for engine servicing must be made in full upon completion. Xcite Sports Ltd t/a Boatworld reserves the right to retain possession of the engine until full payment is received. If payment is not made within 30 days of the completion of service, Xcite Sports Ltd t/a Boatworld may charge storage fees and take additional legal action to recover the cost of the service. Ownership of the engine will not transfer back to the customer until all outstanding payments are cleared.

The service price shown covers labour only and does not include any required parts or products. These will be charged separately unless supplied by the customer.

Should additional work be identified during the servicing process, this will be communicated to the customer before proceeding. An estimate for the cost of the additional labour, parts, and products will be provided, and work will only continue with customer approval.

  • Customers are required to send the engine in suitable packaging. If the original engine box is available, collection and delivery from mainland UK will be charged at £40.
  • If the original box is not available, a fee of £80 will apply to cover the cost of sending out a suitable box to the customer.
  • For customers outside the mainland UK, collection and delivery will be quoted separately based on the location and shipping requirements.

Customers should include the engine’s service book when sending it for servicing. This will be completed by our engineer. If the engine is sent without a service book, we will provide an invoice upon completion, but a new service book will not be supplied.

If a customer needs to cancel or reschedule their engine service, they must notify us at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled collection date. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service cost.

Boats, engines, and trailers that are repaired, moved, or stored by Xcite Sports Ltd t/a Boatworld are kept at the sole risk of the customer. All repair and service work will be carried out either by an engineer from Xcite Sports Ltd t/a Boatworld or by an engineer nominated by Xcite Sports Ltd t/a Boatworld. Xcite Sports Ltd t/a Boatworld is not responsible for any damage, loss, or theft that may occur while the equipment is in our possession unless directly caused by our negligence.

  • Draining the engine of oil and fuel prior to collection or shipping.
  • Ensuring the engine is packaged securely and in compliance with any applicable shipping regulations.
  • Providing suitable documentation, including the service book (if applicable).
    Xcite Sports Ltd t/a Boatworld is not liable for any damages that occur during transport due to improper preparation or packaging by the customer.
