Introduce yourself (name, position & background) and tell us about the company you work for…
James from Cambrain Marine Center, based in West Wales. Joint owner of the business with father Nigel. Small family-run business going for about 20 years. I studied marine engineering at college before joining the business. Is a Compass Dealer for Boatworld that has been going well, and were currently doing a handover on a Compass 135cc.
What’s your favourite boating destination or activity?
We have got some beautiful coastlines around here. We’re quite lucky that along this coast. We have A lot of dolphins, seals, things like that, it’s a big conservation area. So I would say, from West Wales down to the Pembrokeshire Coast is my favorite boat in destination. on a nice flat calm summer’s day. You just can’t beat it.
What’s the one item you always bring on a boat trip?
A fishing rod and a can of beer is a close second.
If you’ve just bought a boat, what are you calling it? Or if you’ve got a boat, what’s it called
Not after the wife 😉 something funny, like “Titanic” with a Welsh twist.
What products are you most excited about right now?
Enjoy looking into new boats to bring to market, looking to extend the Compass range.
If you could go on a boating adventure with any celebrity, who would it be? (dead or alive)
Peter Kay – would be great company for a bit of fishing and some beers.
