Introduce yourself and tell us about the company you work for…
Hello. I’m Scott Cohoon, and I work for Ultrasport. We specialise in distributing seasonal adventure products for bikes, snowsports, watersports, outdoor, and lifestyle brands to retailers. We celebrated our 50th anniversary this year, which was quite an achievement.
Before joining Ultrasport 7 years ago, my background was mainly in the waterskiing and wakeboarding industry. I brought over 30 years of experience to Ultrasport, and now I manage one of the world's oldest waterski and wakeboard brands, O’Brien Watersports.
How would you describe Ultra Sport's relationship with Boatworld?
Our relationship with Boatworld started in the early 90s, mainly on the watersports side. We supplied a number of products to Boatworld and our relationship has grown to be extremely strong over the last twenty-five years.
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
My favourite holiday place is the Greek Islands, and as of late I have been able to take the opportunity of taking a GoPro with me and record memories.
If stranded on a desert island, what would be the one thing you couldn't live without?
Chardonnay… urrrr, cold beer, portable BBQ.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity, past or present, who would it be?
I have a really strong passion for Rugby Union, and if there were a celebrity from the world of rugby that I would like to spend time with, it would be Jonny Wilkinson.
What exciting things are planned for Ultraport in the future?
I have been working with the GoPro brand for over 18 months now, and the development we have seen within the brand in that time is unbelievable. GoPro themselves do some very extensive research into what the consumer wants from those products, and recently, they have developed some amazing technology within their action sports camera market. There are some things on the table that we will be seeing very, very soon, and it’s exciting.
