Great boat but very wet in any crosswinds.

The cruiser 380 is extremely well made and a really nice stable boat.
It has grab ropes in all the right places.
It is very lightweight to pull around on transom wheels.
Really fast boat with my Johnson 15hp two stroke, but really flighty with any sort of head wind. Feels like it could flip at any moment. How you could ever use it with a 30hp is beyond me. BUT it is amazing fun if you have the minerals to push it hard.
In any kind of crosswind you get soaked as the catamaran tubes are the wave and wake deflection point.
Overall a great fast boat.

Great Big sib

Great Sib . Lots of space . It Don’t sail as well as a v shape but very steady when stationary . I use mines for fishing . The only issue I had was the thickness of the trans board ( had to grind it so my engine could fit ) it’s very thick . Boat weighs 54 kg so it’s not easy setting up solo , Trans wheels help . Overall am very happy with this boat .

Initial impressions…..

Fairly heavy seas for its maiden trip out and even in these conditions the boat immediately provided a confidence inspiring ride.

Subsequent trips in calmer conditions allowed us to put the boat through its paces, and not disappointed. Tracks, rides, and corners flat with tenacious grip in the turns just as you’d expect from a tunnel hull boat. Wide beam with plenty of deck space it’s also a fast hull when you want it be. We saw a very creditable 23 knots one up in decent conditions with only a 15hp motor. The hull will stay planing down to around 10/11 knots and would hazard a 6hp could plane lightly loaded in good conditions.

Couple of minor niggles. Very thick transom may be a problem mounting some smaller motors and, personally would prefer fuel tank straps a little further forward.

Great boat for fishing or just hooning around.
