Learn How to Attach and Set Up an Outboard on a SIB. Follow these steps for a smooth setup!

Step 1: Use a Short Shaft Outboard -A short shaft outboard is required for a SIBs for optimal performance. 

Step 2: Tilt & Attach the Engine - Tilt the engine mount, place it in the middle of the transom, and tighten the clamp screws.

Step 3: Place the Fuel Tank Centrally - Strap down the fuel tank in the middle of the boat for the best centre of gravity.

Step 4: Tilt the Engine In - Tilt the engine into the water, ensuring it's entirely down and ready. 

Step 5: Prepare to Start - Connect the lanyard to the outboard and yourself. Ensure all connections are secure. 

Step 6: Adjust the Trim - Adjust the trim: up for speed and fuel efficiency, down for control and handling.
