Description
AIRHEAD’s 12 Volt Hi Pressure Air Pump w/ Pressure Release Valve produces 3 times the pressure of other 12 volt air pumps. Great for getting towables, boats and rafts nice and firm for peak performance. Five universal valve fittings fit all popular valves and lock onto the hose. A removable pressure release valve limits the output to 1.4 psi, the perfect inflation pressure for towables. Hooks it up to your car, truck or boat battery with the alligator clips connected to a 10 foot power cord. Volume is 410 liters/min. Maximum pressure is 2.5 psi. It draws 28 amps / 340 watts

This little guy works awesome for filling up tubes, rafts, etc. Its pretty darn fast at doing so, and in such a small package its easy to keep in your rig. Two things worth noting. 1) There are little holes drilled in the tips of the hose to (I believe) release some pressure to ensure you don’t over work the pump. By plugging these holes with your finger (it gets hot watch out!) it will increase the pressure and fill your raft faster, but its a little annoying. 2) This is a high VOLUME pump, NOT a high pressure pump. Meaning yes it will fill up multiple rafts quickly and get them firm, you will still want a standard foot pump or similar to really firm up your raft/float as this just doesn’t have the pressure to get them really firm.
Otherwise I’ve used this for one whole summer, typically filling up 4-5 rafts in a row with no issues and am very pleased with the purchase!

Let’s keep this short and to the point.
Pros:
– High air volume – inflated a 4 person (104″, 3 air chambers) towable in about 5 minutes, with about 90 seconds of that attributed to moving from one air chamber to the next.
– Long cord – reached from the battery compartment over the back seat to the swim platform without an issue
Cons:
– A bit noisy – comparable to an electric drill (110 VAC plug-in style). Since the pump was not on for long, I didn’t think it warranted subtracting a star.
– Gets warm fairly quickly – Again, not an issue since the pump does its job in a hurry.
